Following the success of last year’s event, the annual Myddle Muddle Fun Run is scheduled to take place on the morning of Sunday 21st April 2023. The run is a significant fundraiser for Myddle Primary School that regularly raises in excess of £2000, for new teaching equipment and resources.
The event will include a 10K and a 5K race with a maximum combined total of 180 runners. The routes will follow the footpaths and rights of way around Myddle and Harmer Hill and mainly concentrate on those running along Hollins Lane and between the Higher and Lower roads. Therefore, to ensure the safety of all the participants, a section of Lower Road, from Moss Farm to the junction with Myddle Hill will be closed for a short period between 10:30am – 12:30pm. A small section of Merrington Lane, from above Webscott Farm to the junction with Lower Road will also be closed. This will not prevent vehicles accessing or exiting your property and Marshalls will be placed at each road closure point. The road closure will be lifted as soon as the last runner has completed the course. The road closure points, can be found on the bottom of this letter.
Myddle School PTA and the Myddle Muddle Team would like to express our appreciation for your understanding and to thank you for your continued support in making this popular school fundraiser possible.
